Happy September my friends! I hope you’ve all had a wonderful, safe, and healthy summer. It’s strange to think summer will be behind us shortly, but all good things must come to an end right? I’m now ready for all things fall and can’t wait to enjoy the cozy season. But before we fully transition, I want to highlight a few of my favourite fashion pieces that I wore over and over again throughout summer. Expect to find pieces you’ve already seen all through this post. I think it’s important to be comfortable with repeating outfits. I find so much joy in mixing and matching. Once I’ve worn an item more than a few times, I’m reassured that I made the right decision buying that piece. That’s the beauty of fashion to me anyway!
Let’s get into it shall weee?
The birthday fit.
Can I get a little commotion for the dress? This might be one of my favourite Zara pieces to date. It’s exactly what I imagined when I first scrolled past it on the site. Simple, flattering, classic. I wore it on my birthday, and wore it again later in summer which you will see below.
Dress: Zara
Heels: Spring
50 shades of blue.
Contrary to the colour scheme of this shoot, I certainly wasn’t feeling blue while taking these photos. However, I was going through a blue-clothing phase, and still kind of am. I find it so easy to style lately and I keep gravitating towards blue tones. Show me navy, royal blue, sky blue, all the blues! As fall approaches I will most likely return to neutrals, but in the meantime I’ll relish the blues.
Scarf: Charlie and Paisley
Top: Zara
Sweater: Tommy Hilfiger
Skirt: Champion
Shoes: Reebok
Cool tones cont’d.
I had a lot of fun shooting these photos because of the greenery surrounding me. Anytime I’m around nature, trees, and plants I feel at home.

Jeans and a white shirt go a long way.
A white shirt and jean combo is unstoppable. Paired with a tote and sunglasses, you’re set.

Tote: I wish I remember where I bought it, but you can find similar ones everywhere.
Top: Zara
Jeans: Fashion Nova (these are the only pairs of jeans I wear from Fashion Nova however I bought them yearsss ago)
The art of the dress shirt. Mind the dirty mirrors.
Dress shirts quickly began my staple piece this summer. They quite literally go with anything.
You will find me wearing a dress shirt in most of these highlighted outfits. Why? Because they are breathable, versatile, and so easy to style! Tucked in, buttoned-up, buttoned-down, over a dress, as a swimsuit cover up. Really you can’t go wrong with a dress shirt. And my philosophy: the roomier the better.

The perfect summer evening look. Alone, this slip dress is beautiful. It was a little chilly on the dock however, so I threw on a linen black shirt and tied a knot.

A Poshmark find.
I purchased this windbreaker secondhand on Poshmark. It quickly became one of my favourite light jackets and I love the vintage look of it.

The blouse that keeps on giving.

I’ve worn this white blouse many times throughout summer, and for good reason. It pairs beautifully with shorts, trousers, jeans… I mean. The outfit combinations are endless!

All black ensemble.
When in doubt, I find the nearest black ensemble and head out the door. Black has the power to make anyone look put together. This M Boutique crop top has been a constant in my life ever since I purchased it. Paired with my dearest Mango trousers, I was ready to take to the streets.

So long, sundresses.
My go-to look this summer was loose-fitting clothes, or fitted pieces paired with an oversized jacket/shirt/sweater. However, I also love a bodycon moment and this dress achieved that and more. I thought, why not enjoy these final warm days of summer. So, I took off the shirt I initially wore over the dress and struck some poses (with the support and hype of my aunt).

Final thoughts.
Moral of the story, I love Mango, Zara, H&M, and thrifting. I’m also not a huge bag-gal, so I regularly rotate between my Mango purse, Ela Handbags belt-bag, and my growing tote collection.
The key to finding your personal style, as I’ve mentioned in earlier blog posts, is to have patience and build the courage to take risks. You won’t always get it right the first try, but you’ll figure it out as you go. Create a visual moodboard (collection of photos that inspire you) if it helps, and search for pieces that match your desired aesthetic.
Also, don’t feel ashamed to replicate others’ outfits if that gives you the push you need. I often seek inspiration in others. Just know that eventually, you’ll spread your wings and certain looks will come naturally to you.
As we transition to fall, I’m excited to see what looks people put together. I predict an abundance of neutrals, knits, leather, and bold prints. I also look forward to seeing how I mix and match the pieces I already own, with the few fall additions to my wardrobe. You can be sure I’ll bring a lot of neutrals to the table. But, I’m also eager to experiment a little. I feel inspired after watching this year’s Met Gala.
Thank you so much for making it to the end! Have a beautiful day my friends.
Xoxo,
Kundi
